The dating app Coffee Meets Bagel, which shows 1 match per day, has opened several new instruments helping users to have a great date.
These new products are the web apps, made in cooperation with Yelp and Spotify.
The first app called DateSpots.co helps to find the best date spot. CMB team worked in close cooperation with Yelp. Users first specify their date spot preferences (coffee/bar/restaurant, price, and location). It then queries Yelp‘s database for the best matching results.
The idea is to create a service, which allows users get best benefit from the original Coffee Meets Bagel service. It’s difficult to make a transition from online conversation to real life date, but the right date spot can definitely make this process easy for people.
The second new CMB product is Mixtape (makeamixtape.com). Using public API Spotify, Mixtape allows users create a playlist of songs you and your date have in common, so they can get the conversation started on your dates.
Coffee Meets Bagel made a good choice, because users are pleased to see that this dating service genuinely wants to help.
